Die Glastechnik Kirste KG is an innovative company located in a traditional site in Remda, near Erfurt, Ilmenau, and Jena. The "work with technical glass" has a tradition of over 100 years in the region between Ilmenau and Jena. There are special connections to the Jena location regarding scientific instrument construction and the production of technical glasses. The results of the collaboration with Friedrich Schiller University Jena and the Otto Schott Institute located there are incorporated into the development of new products in our company. These insights are implemented daily in practice by our experienced employees. **Key Areas of Focus** - Processing of flat and hollow glass, primarily made from borosilicate glass, quartz glass, and soda glass - CNC processing of complex glass parts as well as soda-lime glass - Production of calibrated glass tubes, DURAN®, borosilicate glass 3.3 - Manufacturing of glass specialty products - Glass grinding This allows us to offer our customers not only precise and quality-oriented manufacturing but also innovative new products.
