About

Concrete has been our material since 1955. Westerwelle, as a family-owned business in its third generation, stands for reliability, economical prices, and short delivery times. As a partner in the building materials trade, we have consistently adhered to the requirements of civil engineering and have continually improved, optimized, and standardized many aspects in the production of concrete elements – primarily retaining walls: formulations, constructions and shapes, surfaces, colors and structures, connection systems and fittings, production processes, and services. Our goal is to produce superior quality – consistently, economically, and always identically. Our products are branded items. Our product range consists of retaining walls in various sizes, shapes, and designs, as well as steps. Application areas include road and underground construction as well as garden and landscape construction. In addition to reliable quality, we are always available to support our partners with technical planning and statics. Our customers appreciate this. Westerwelle now supplies its retaining walls throughout Europe, with numerous sales representatives advising partner companies in all European countries. In this context, the number of employees has tripled. The focus on retaining walls has led to significant expansion for Westerwelle over the past 10 years, as the company willingly faces new challenges time and again. After the demand for Westerwelle concrete elements increased significantly in recent years, we decided in the summer of 2008 to open a second production site in the state of Brandenburg, in the city of Beeskow. In 2009, we opened a sales office for Eastern Europe in Wroclaw, Poland. When Wilhelm Westerwelle founded the company in 1955 and built it together with his wife Hilde Westerwelle, the main components of the product range were curbstones, slabs, and paving stones. They laid the foundation for the company as it is today. From 1985, Manfred and Cornelia Westerwelle took over the company and set new standards in quality, marketing, and sales. In 2010, the third generation, led by Kai-Uwe Westerwelle, took over the management of the traditional company. The future is focused on the Europe-wide expansion of the partner network and the continuous development of the product range.
