Cronite is the global market leader in equipment for heat treatment furnaces. After being acquired by the AFE Group in 1990, the foundry in Hürth-Efferen was closed as part of rationalization measures, and this part of production was relocated to sister plants in France and England. Developments for the German market continued to be managed from Hürth, as well as customer support in both internal and external sales. In 1998, this operation moved to a more modern production facility that was better suited to its size and needs. Even today, customers in the German-speaking region are supported from there, and in special cases, development is assisted by designers from abroad. This provides the advantage of incorporating ideas from abroad into the products, resulting in benefits for our customers.
