Fortune Valve was founded in 1981 in Taipei, Taiwan, where it still maintains its headquarters today. Since then, the Fortune Group has expanded to include several companies, numerous production sites, strategically located distribution centers, and a wide range of products. The first of these companies, Fortune Mfg. Co., Ltd., was established in Taiwan as a foundry and machine shop for the production of bronze ball valves. Fortune's strong manufacturing expertise and quality philosophy have led to solid growth and an expansion of the product portfolio. With increasing demand for Fortune products, we have expanded our manufacturing facilities and capacities. Today, we have plants in Kaohsiung (Taiwan), Dalian (China), and Ningbo (China). Fortune Valve takes great pride in these manufacturing sites and the associated quality programs. Each of these facilities is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and employs manufacturing methods and quality processes that meet those of North American manufacturers. We are currently expanding our plant in Kaohsiung (Taiwan) to increase manufacturing capacity and establish our own R&D facility. All manufacturing sites of Fortune Valve are ISO certified, and our industrial facilities are also API 6D approved. Fortune Valve holds a CE/PED certification, which we utilize for flange-based ball valves exported to the European market. All products manufactured by Fortune Valve are 100% pressure tested to ensure their quality and performance. In 1992, Fortune began exploring the North American market. That year, Archmetal Industries Corp. was established in Richmond, British Columbia, to serve Fortune's OEM and private label customers. Fortune Valve USA and Fortune Valve Canada commenced operations in 1996 and 2006, respectively, to promote Fortune and Fusion branded products in North America. These distribution centers are strategically located in Houston (Texas) and Edmonton (Alberta). Through ownership of these facilities, Fortune Valve is a vertically integrated company. We control nearly all stages of the manufacturing process, including research & development, engineering, foundry, production, and procurement. Vertical integration provides the optimal combination of quality and competitiveness.
