Sourcing investment casting
Investment casting — lost-wax casting — produces the most accurate castings available. A wax replica of the part is coated in ceramic slurry, the wax is melted out, and metal is poured into the resulting shell. Because the mould has no parting line and reproduces the wax exactly, the process delivers fine detail, thin walls and surfaces smooth enough to use as-cast.
That precision buys something specific: parts that would otherwise be machined from solid, or welded from several pieces, can be cast in one shot in almost any alloy — including stainless steels and superalloys that are difficult and expensive to machine. The trade-off is a wax tool up front and a longer process chain, so it earns its place where geometry is complex or the material is hard to cut.

Complex geometry in one piece
No parting line and no draft requirement means undercuts, internal passages, thin webs and organic shapes come straight out of the shell. Turbine blades, impellers, valve bodies and manifolds are typical — parts that would need multi-axis machining or several welded components otherwise.
Difficult alloys
Stainless steels, tool steels, cobalt and nickel superalloys, titanium and bronze all cast well. For materials that are slow and costly to machine, casting close to final shape removes most of the cutting entirely.
