The Cologne-based family business Gebr. Schmachtenberg GmbH, founded in 1908, is expanding its product range in the recycling sector to include hammer axes. This traditional company, with its over 100-year history, has focused on development from the very beginning. Schmachtenberg shear blades and guide rails not only represent quality but are also the epitome of innovative steel treatment. In addition to these well-known blades for scrap shears and other shredding machines, as well as corresponding accessories, Gebr. Schmachtenberg GmbH is now also offering hammer axes. Initial Europe-wide test deployments on machines with 2,000 to 6,000 PS have fully met expectations regarding the quality offered. The hammer axes are not positioned in the low-price segment. The production goal was to distinguish itself from competitors through high-quality materials, resulting in increased service life and reduced wear.
